AMC-Medical: The cutting edge of the most advanced healing sciences and cybernetic implant technologies
AMC-Medical officially launches on Day 292 or Year 23.
AMC-Medical is the main Medical Branch and Cybernetic Technologies subsidiary of the Alliance of Mercenary Consortiums [AMC]. Highly skilled Legionnaire Medics, Apothecaries and High Apothecaries are part of every combat detachment of AMC's Mobile Infantry. In a fire-fight, they are active combatants and can obviously, therefore, take a life, but they are also skilled practitioners of the Healing Arts and can save a life as well! They provide the skill, resources, guts and know-how to keep AMC's forces in the fight!
Utilizing the most advanced facilities, AMC-Medical provides vital medical care to injured AMC's Legionnaires and conducts research which betters the lives of all who live under AMC's Protective Covenant.
While the main focus of AMC-Medical is on saving lives, there is also a secondary focus of enhancing lives through the implantation and use of cybernetics. Many are used to aid combat veterans who may have lost certain functions or abilities due to injury but there are also many programs which look to enhance natural abilities through the addition of these implants. Certain Special Forces Units with the ISS Shadowtrooper Corp actually require cybernetic enhancement and it is through AMC-Medical that these troops under go these operations at the skilled hands of the High Apothecaries.
While these procedures through AMC-Medical are not available to the general public Galaxy wide, high ranking members of AMC's Military and Civilian Elite as well as foreign dignitaries may apply for potential enhancement through AMC's Triumvirate Council. These surgeries, however, are not without risk and do carry a small chance of failure and permanent disability so these permission are not taken lightly nor given freely without ample consideration and discussion with the interested party.
